You're Not Alone
Dear Saints,
I wanted to send you all a quick note today to let you know I’m thinking about you and your families and you are in my prayers.
It’s been over a month since the deadly conflict launched on Israel-Gaza border. Today is the 10th day of the Portland Public School strike. Next week the holidays officially start, which can mean a welcome and much needed diversion or complicated and/or painful waters to navigate. There’s a lot going on.
In conversations with many of you over the last few weeks, I know our children, parents, teachers, grandparents and everyone connected to the strike is feeling it. For many it has brought back memories of the pandemic. We also want the best for our kids and the people who devote their life to accompanying them in formative years or supporting that process.
I know there are other struggles people are going through, as well.
I don’t have answers, but I want you to know that I am am here for you, and I’m praying for you. You’re not alone. I’m available as are All Saints clergy to meet in person, by zoom or over the phone. Sometimes just a few minutes of getting to share out loud with a companion in the journey can do a lot. Please don’t hesitate to reach out by calling, texting or replying to this email.
In two weeks Advent begins with the message God is coming, God is with you even now. May God bless you and keep you in suffering and in joy.
With love and care,
Andria+
