Woodstock Pantry News Brief November 19th
This weekend, we served our drive-through neighbors one regular, one holiday and one produce bag. And we served our unhoused neighbors as per usual. So, work on every shift doubled! And every one of you stepped up to the challenge! Thank you so very much!!! The joy on our neighbors’ faces as they received all this abundance was worth every bit of work, we all did!
We served a whooping 301 people this week. We ran out of grocery bags, so we were digging through the shed, putting together whatever we could to put food on people’s tables. Our neighbors were so happy to get the extra food and the holiday fixings!
Our Holiday Plans
Next weekend, November 25-26, we will NOT serve groceries to our drive-through neighbors. So, many of the regular shifts will be cancelled.
However, on November 26, we will serve our unhoused neighbors. Our plan is to provide one-stop-services to our unhoused neighbors. We will work together to serve groceries, hygiene and clothing. It will be a chance to learn about our other programs and to meet other volunteers. And it will be fun!
Our shift is full – thank you everyone! And everyone else – have a fantastic Thanksgiving Day!
