Weekly Rector's Note: White Christmas Shout Outs
Dear Saints,
I hope you are all somewhere warm and safe and getting to enjoy an early “white Christmas.”
It was an eventful week at church getting everything ready. I want to thank our Altar Guild & Flowers for pivoting to decorate before the bad weather hit. (Spoiler alert — the church looks fabulous!)
Thank you also to our Outreach Ministries who have done a remarkable job working together as a team, figuring out what we can offer so that guests and volunteers stay safe and people have what they need.
Yesterday, the Altar Guild and Outreach volunteers actually ended up working alongside each other — some filling bags and some filling the chancel with poinsettias. It was a beautiful image of what it means to be church!
Many thanks to those who participated in our Pageant last Sunday. It was one of the best and most fun pageants ever. And thank you Carol, Laurie, Susan, Janet and Ardis for extra festive Coffee Hours last week.
It looks like the weather will be clearing up by Saturday night. We have planned beautiful Christmas Eve services at 4:00pm and 8:00 and at 10am on Christmas Day (one more thanks to the Choir and our Music Director, James Denman, for pivoting with rehearsal schedules). Any weather related updates will be posted on our website and Facebook. If you are snowed or iced in, or away for the holidays, you can worship with us online, as well.
Blessings to you this Christmas and as we celebrate a new year!
