Weekly Rector's Note: Everything Advent | All Saints Episcopal Church

Dear Saints,

I hope you had good Thanksgivings with meaningful opportunities for gratitude and connection.

This Sunday marks the beginning of the Season of Advent. We will light the first candle of the Advent wreath and offer songs and prayers that anticipate Christ’s coming. The church calendar begins in Advent, so we will also switch to a new cycle of gospel readings from Matthew.

Children and youth are invited to join us at 9:30am in the Parish Hall to make an Advent wreath (please note, this is before the service this year).

Join us for the Altar Making class after the 10:15am service in the Guild Room.

Lastly, don’t forget to sign up for the Daily Advent Art Email, an e-note filled with works of art, an inspirational message, and something to ponder each day leading up to Christmas. Signup here.

Our 8:00 A.M. Holy Communion, Rite 1 Service, held in the Chapel, is our most traditional service. All are welcome. Our 10:15 A.M. Holy Communion, Rite II Service, held in the Sanctuary, includes a Sermon, Readings, and Hymns. You can participate In-Person or in the Live Premiere on our Facebook page or watch on our website. The current bulletin and service can always be found in the Online Worship section of our website. All are welcome.
