Weekly Rector's Note: Crackin' Crab Feast and More!
Dear Saints,
Thank you for a wonderful Annual Meeting last week. I was so impressed and inspired by what you shared in the reports and presentations. You can view the Annual Report here and my Annual Address here. Also, thank you everyone who brought food or helped with set up and cleanup. It was so fun to be able to have the meal be part of this event once again.
We have another big weekend coming up with the Crackin’ Crab Feast tomorrow night. Thank you for your support that helped it sell out weeks in advance. If you are attending or volunteering, I look forward to seeing you then.
Please be sure to check out and sign up for our Lenten offerings that are listed below. We have some great opportunities this year, such as an immersive reading of the Bible, weekly Wednesday Eucharists or conversations that explore compassion as a way of life. Also, our Ash Wednesday services are at Noon and 7pm on February 22.
Lastly, please take a look at some of the the Black Businesses we are highlighting during February as part of Black History month. This week’s post might be particularly helpful for any Valentines Day shopping you might need to do (think Oregon pinot and chocolate flights!). In our work with Rev. Leroy Barber, we’ve learned that celebrating and seeking out Black businesses is part of the repair work and narrowing the racial wealth gap towards the justice, peacemaking and healing we seek.
In peace,
Andria+
Please note, Rev. Andria will be away Feb 19 to the 25.
