Weekly Rector's Note: Christmas Is Almost Here!
Dear Saints,
Christmas is just one week from this Sunday! To celebrate our ever increasing anticipation, we will have the Christmas Pageant at the 10:15am service with children, youth and live mini-goats. At 8:00am we will hear “The Sinner’s Pageant,” a fun and poignant take on grace showing up in unlikely places. We have a special Coffee Hour with Carol's sweet breads and other tasty treats (GF and vegan available) after the 10:15am service and delicious Esperanza Coffee after both services.
If your kids would like to be in the Pageant, just show up at 9:30am in the Parish Hall to get a costume and go over the details. If you can’t arrive early, we can take cast members on the spot.
Our youth will also be making gingerbread houses after the 10:15am service.
Lastly, a number of you mentioned wanting the contact info for the delicious Babka we had last week. Babkush is the name of the business, and you can order here. Owner Zicra was kind enough to donate the treats for our celebration in support of our efforts in Outreach and Social Justice. Additionally, 6.75% of all Babkush sales goes to Partnership for Safety and Justice, which works to transform the public safety and criminal justice systems in Oregon. Babkush is a fantastic local bakery to know and frequent.
There is so much to look forward to in these last days of Advent. Love, joy, hope and peace are coming to us! They are here!!
Andria+
