The Rev. Ernestein Flemister
The Rev. Ernestein Flemister will be our guest for the Juneteenth festivities Saturday and at Sunday’s service.
From Bishop Akiyama's announcement: Rev. Flemister will also be the new (part-time) Missioner for Racial Reconciliation at the Diocese. This position is a quarter-time position that will be in addition to her role as Rector at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Grants Pass. In this capacity, Ernestein will facilitate, support, and challenge our diocese to enter into the work of racial reconciliation by walking with our faith communities in their unique contexts. She will serve as the diocesan liaison to the Engaging Racial Justice Working Group and will join the diocesan staff in person as time permits, and virtually from her southern location in the diocese. She brings to this work a depth of knowledge, experience, and faith, and I am heartened by her willingness to engage this work alongside her responsibilities as the Rector at St. Luke’s Grants Pass.
