Rector's Note: Stay Cool this Sunday - No in-person services | All Saints Episcopal Church

Dear Saints,

As we go into this weekend, many of us are bracing for extreme temperatures. There is a heat advisory encouraging folks to stay in air conditioned places. But unfortunately, many Portland homes and buildings don't have A/C, including All Saints. Given the safety risks and the inability to adequately cool the Nave, the Executive Committee and I have decided to cancel in-person services for this Sunday. However, thanks to the technology acquired during Covid, we don't have to cancel services altogether. We will still have our 8:00am call-in service, a 9:00am Godly Play Zoom, and we will stream the 10:15am service on Facebook and our website.

Please keep in your prayers those most vulnerable to the heat. Our outreach ministries are preparing to have ice and bottled water to give out to people.

I am grateful that we still get to come together this weekend and will look forward to seeing you online!

Our 8:00 A.M. Holy Communion, Rite 1 Service, held in the Chapel, is our most traditional service. All are welcome. Our 10:15 A.M. Holy Communion, Rite II Service, held in the Sanctuary, includes a Sermon, Readings, and Hymns. You can participate In-Person or in the Live Premiere on our Facebook page or watch on our website. The current bulletin and service can always be found in the Online Worship section of our website. All are welcome.
