Rector's Note: Summer Reading
Dear Saints,
One of my favorite things about summer is Summer Reading. With two little kids, summer doesn’t necessarily equal more reading time for me. But prompted by Powell’s and Multnomah County Library summer lists, I collected an assortment of mysteries, non-fiction, cookbooks and poetry, which has been so satisfying to have on hand.
If you are looking for some summer reading, I highly recommend the Art + Spirit email that our Artist in Residence, Paige Lehmann, is sending out weekly. Week One, ”Nurturing Your Inner Artist,” brought joy, gave ideas, was soul affirming, and was a reminder of God at work in us in ways that we don’t always notice. Plus, it only takes about 5 minutes to read, so it can fit most schedules. If you would like to get these emails, just email Paige .
This Sunday, our seminarian, Alex Firman, will be with us and will also be our preacher. (Rest assured, he has recovered from Covid and completed the isolation period.) He will also begin offering the Morning Prayer service this Monday (7/18) and the Evening Prayer service next Saturday (7/23). Please join me in welcoming him and making him feel at home at All Saints.
In peace,
Andria+
