Rector's Note: Staying Cool | All Saints Episcopal Church

Dear Saints,

I hope people have been finding ways to stay cool this week. At the church, we have been getting the word out about the locations of cooling shelters and, thankfully, several places have been added in SE Portland not far from us. If you didn't know, Trimet is free if you are going to a cooling center and individuals can also call 211 for a ride to a cooling center.

Additionally, we have secured a misting tent on loan from the city to put up on Friday and Saturday during outreach. We are also hosting stations with ice water. Thank you to the people who helped research and mobilize these resources!

This Sunday, we are going to have popsicles and ice cream bars after the services. Our seminarian, Alex, will be conducting a short survey for anyone who would like to help him get a better sense for parish life at All Saints. And the Art + Spirit group will continue with engaging discussion after the 10:15am.

Our 8:00 A.M. Holy Communion, Rite 1 Service, held in the Chapel, is our most traditional service. All are welcome. Our 10:15 A.M. Holy Communion, Rite II Service, held in the Sanctuary, includes a Sermon, Readings, and Hymns. You can participate In-Person or in the Live Premiere on our Facebook page or watch on our website. The current bulletin and service can always be found in the Online Worship section of our website. All are welcome.
