Rector's Note: Annual Meeting
Dear Saints,
Recently, someone shared with me a significant achievement they had accomplished. But, when asked how they would celebrate, they noted how they hadn’t even thought about it.
As we’ve been preparing for the Annual Meeting, and thinking back on this last year, I’m thankful for the regular opportunity it affords us to reflect on and celebrate all that we’ve done together. Sometimes we can get so focused on our goals, and so busy with life in general, we don’t pause to mark our achievements. We just keep pushing and pushing when what really might benefit us is taking a moment to acknowledge all that's taken place.
This Sunday, I hope you will join me after the 10:15 service in the Nave (worship space) or online (using our Coffee Hour Zoom link) for the Annual Meeting. We will have a 5 minute break for people to get refreshments. If you are attending in-person, please be mindful of spreading out and keeping masks on except when actively eating or drinking.
I am also thrilled with the slate of Vestry Candidates and Convention Delegates our Nominating Committee has put forth (see below). Each of them brings unique gifts and experiences which are well suited to areas of leadership needed at All Saints. I am also excited to get to share some of the new ministries and initiatives that we will launch in 2022.
Please review the Annual Meeting packet before the meeting if possible, especially the proposed budget for 2022 and minutes from last year. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call or email me or anyone on the Executive Committee. We work hard to ensure transparency. We also aim to have a smooth and efficient meeting, so any questions we can respond to or be aware of beforehand will help us in doing so.
I look forward to a morning of celebrating and giving thanks for the blessings of this last year with hearts open and in anticipation of what God is calling us to next.
In peace,
Andria+
