From the Church Office: Receiving & Giving

A visitor came to the Church on Tuesday morning asking if we were still feeding people a hot meal on Saturdays. I told her that we still do, every Saturday come rain or shine. I also told her about the Woodstock Pantry that is open every Friday and Saturday from noon until 2pm in case she needed food. Just as I was about to ask her if she was hungry and wanted some food, she asked if we take donations. As you all know, we love donations, and our pantry is all the better for the generous gifts from our neighbors, the local grocery stores, and our partnership with the Oregon Food Bank. She handed over her gifts and then told me that several years ago, when she was homeless, she came to get a hot meal every Saturday. She said we provided a warm, safe place to enjoy a good meal. And she said that she wanted to bless us in return.
