PRAY AND ACT: SUPPORTING COMMUNITIES AFFECTED BY WILDFIRES
From the Episcopal Church in Western Oregon
Our hearts ache for our friends and neighbors in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles and the wider Los Angeles area as they face the devastating impact of the Palisades and Eaton wildfires. Entire communities have been displaced, and the road to recovery will be long. In this time of need, let us surround them with our prayers and tangible support.
How you can help:
- Pray: Lift up the affected communities, first responders, and relief workers in your prayers. May they feel God's presence and strength in these difficult days.
- Donate: Episcopal Relief & Development’s Wildfire Response Fund is providing critical assistance to those impacted. Your gift can help bring relief and hope to those in need. Donate here.
- Give Blood: Donating blood is worthwhile on the best of days, but as it happens January is National Blood Donor Month, and donating blood is a powerful way to support disaster relief. Local blood supplies are often critical during emergencies, and every donation can save a life. Visit the American Red Cross website to find a donation center near you. As members of the Body of Christ, we are called to bear one another’s burdens. Let us respond with compassion and generosity. Together, we can make a difference.
