——
Dear Friends in Christ,
I am happy to announce the new temporary location of the diocesan office and the timeline for this move.
Over the last year, I have been exploring options for temporary and permanent offices for the diocesan staff in anticipation of the sale of the Bishop’s Close and Elk Rock Garden. Recently, an option was presented to rent space in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC) Northwest headquarters located in Milwaukie.
The missional alignment with JVC made this option especially compelling as it allows us to begin the repositioning of the diocesan offices in a ministry setting. My conversations with the leadership at JVC generated excitement as we discussed a partnership that extends beyond simply renting space. While our offices will occupy a section of the building with our own entrance, we will share common spaces such as the conference room, kitchen, and bathrooms.
The new location offers ample parking in their designated lot and surrounding streets and easy access to public transportation, including a bus stop outside of the building.
Our diocesan staff and I look forward to exploring the Milwaukie community and pursuing partnerships that will strengthen our work, fulfilling our Gospel call to seek and serve Christ in all people.
Effective July 24, our new physical address will be 2780 SE Harrison St., Suite 202, Milwaukie, OR 97222, and our new mailing address will be P.O. Box 22310, Milwaukie, OR 97269. Please make any necessary updates regarding our address.
We will close our office the week of July 24 – 28 in order to facilitate an orderly move into our new space.
I ask for your prayers and patience during this transition.
In Christ,
