May Celebrations
Dear Saints,
A lot has been happening! This week we welcomed our new Woodstock Pantry and Outreach Coordinator, Leslie Rangel. We will be doing more introductions in the coming weeks, but if you happen to be at church on Friday or Saturday, please introduce yourself. I am excited to have her on the team, and I am profoundly grateful for our Interim Coordinator, Chris Gustafson, and our amazing volunteers for keep things running so smoothly in the transition. We are so blessed!
On the new Pantry painting, we have had someone volunteer to do the interior drywall primer spraying. We hope to get volunteers to do the second coat with rollers starting next week. Please let me know if you can help paint. This will help us save thousands of dollars as we close the gap on this project.
The month of May brings many celebrations for our community, including Pentecost, Lucille Pierce’s 103rd birthday, Trinity Sunday and the Recommittal for Chuck Ford and Jerry Meter (see info for ALL below). May is also Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, a time when we celebrate and recognize the cultural and historical contributions of Asian Pacific Americans to the United States. I’ve included a prayer below and we will offer prayers in our service this Sunday. Since it's the first Sunday of the month, we will also be blessing May birthday and anniversaries in our services.
In anticipation of tomorrow, May the fourth be with you!
In peace,
Andria+
