Love Is the Way, Parish Wide Book Study
Love Is The Way, Holding on to Hope in Troubling Times, written by our Presiding Bishop, Michael Curry, is being offered as a Lenten reading. We will meet Wednesdays on ZOOM either at Noon or at 7:00pm for an hour’s discussion through March 24th. The book is available from Powells and Amazon. If you would like to borrow a parish copy, please email to let us know. Rev. Constance and David Shochat will be co-leading the group. Please let Rev. Constance know which session you are interested in.
In a recent ZOOM meeting with the clergy of Oregon, prior to the ordination and concentration of our Diocesan Bishop Diana, Bishop Michael said that loving God, loving neighbor and loving self are three ways we are asked to live out God’s love in the world. In these times, it is important to ask, “What can I do to love myself? How can I take control of how I love myself which is akin to how God loves me?” Bishop Michael radiates that love, lives that love of God and given the title of this, his newest book, it is hoped that we can find a better, more loving way through Lent in these troubled and troubling Covid times.
