For All the Saints
Happy All Saints Day!
And happy first month of November. This fall is flying by, but with so many great memories made along the way (see pictures from our Halloween processional, Spooktacular Coffee Hour on Sunday and the Parents Night Out / Kids Halloween Party).
This Sunday will be another special one as we observe the Feast of All Saints, remembering loved ones we are still connected to through the great Communion of Saints and who we will be reunited with one day. We will have special music and prayers. There will be a table at the church entrance where you may place pictures of those you are remembering. And the services will be followed by a reception in the Parish Hall.
This Sunday will also be six years since I started at All Saints. It feels like just yesterday and also like we have shared in so much life together since. I am so grateful!
Lastly, please keep Bishop Akiyama and parishioner Alan Murray in your prayers as they attend the investiture of our new Presiding Bishop, Sean Rowe. If you would like to attend virtually this Saturday at 11AM EST, you can find the livestream link HERE.
Blessings,
Andria+
A PRAYER FOR ALL SAINTS DAY
God of unfailing light,
in your realm of glory
the poor are blessed,
the hungry filled,
and every tear is wiped away.
Strengthened by this vision,
may we follow in the way of holiness
that your Son made known in life and death. Amen.
