Fighting Poverty, Loneliness & Isolation Through Community
We are living in what’s been called “The Age of Isolation.” The Surgeon General’s recent warning cites loneliness as one of the greatest health risks to Americans today. At the same time, we see increased food and housing insecurity in our city. The Woodstock Pantry saw demand increase by 102% in the last six months alone. How do we respond to this and other painful realities of our time without losing hope? What empowers us to bring about a better future in our neighborhood and find belonging while we are doing it? Come hear a presentation from Rev. Andria and Outreach Coordinator Kristen Magis.
Using research on community and recent data from the Woodstock Pantry, they will share insights into the healing power of Community and why there is reason for hope. The presentation will begin after the 10:15 A.M service on Sunday, November 12 in the Parish Hall. All are welcome.
