Compline Services
Check out the Compline prayers for the new month here starting at the first of the month. Led by Kathleen Borsch, these short, peaceful sessions are based on The Divine Hours by Phyllis Tickle. You are invited to click on each video before retiring to bed for a few minutes of prayer and meditative readings.
Compline (pronounced "KOM-plin") is the final church prayer service of the day and can be found in the Book of Common Prayer. The word is derived from the Latin completorium, "the completion of the day", and was first used to describe prayers at the close of the day by St. Benedict in the early 6th century. It remains a much-loved service for many Christians to this day.
