Communion Bread
Our services will now include home-baked bread for the Eucharist rather than wafers (gluten-free wafers will continue to be available for those with gluten intolerance). We are hoping that a return to bread at Communion will help us recall more clearly Jesus’s actions at his Last Supper with the disciples and the abundance inherent in this meal we share.
As with any changes, we welcome any questions and warmly encourage your feedback. As this change is unfolding, you may find it easier to drink the wine directly from the chalice rather than having the server dip the bread for you; however, both options remain. If you are interested in baking, please see Deacon Linda Goertz.
