Children's Ministry Column February 24
I hope your family has been able to make the best of this snowy weather, I look forward to hearing the adventures everyone has to share. This week we will begin our introduction to Lent. In lieu of the adult tradition of giving something up, we will be focusing on gratitude over the next 40 days. While I previously stated Margaret was going to lead a family Godly Play on Lent this week, her availability changed and we will be rescheduling to a later date.
Lastly, although the recent snow may not have you thinking spring, I wanted to pass along this information from the Episcopal Church regarding an exciting program they are launching called Good News Gardens. "The mission of the Good News Gardens movement... is to partner with people in transformational agrarian ministry that feeds body, mind, and spirit. Good News Gardens is a church-wide movement of individuals, congregations, schools... involved in a variety of food and creation care ministries – gardening, farming, beekeeping, composting, gleaning, feeding, food justice advocacy. The list goes on and on. Collectively Good News Gardens share their abundance, their prayers, and the Way of Love in their communities and beyond.” https://www.episcopalchurch.org/good-news-gardens/
