Celebrate with All Saints
One thing I often struggle with is knowing how to celebrate momentous life occasions. Life is busy. Planning parties can be a lot of work. The date sneaks up on you, etc. But as a wise person once told me, it’s important to mark passages of time as a chance to reflect on what we’ve lived through, appreciate the moment we are in and embrace what’s next. Inviting others to share this time with us can be valuable, too. I know in the birthdays and anniversaries we celebrated at All Saints recently, I felt honored to get to be part and thankful for the chance to let people know what they mean to me.
If you have an anniversary, birthday or other life event you would like to celebrate with the All Saints, community please let me or the Church Office know. We can celebrate at Coffee Hour (you can either bring treats or we always have treats on hand — just let us know so that we don’t duplicate efforts). You can do an altar flower donation and dedication. Names of loved ones can be included in the prayers of the departed at times that we especially want to remember them. Some special occasions even have blessings or liturgies. We would love to celebrate you and those you love!
