August at All Saints
We have a few fun things happening this August!
On Sunday, August 18, we will be doing a Godly Play lesson as part of the 10:15am service. This will give people a preview of what our kids will get to experience this fall when we relaunch Godly Play. Godly Play is about "making meaning through story, wonder, and play. Nurturing spiritual lives by honoring the centrality, competency, and capacity of children." It is a Montessori approach that invites kids of all ages to explore life's big questions in an open-ended way. A big thanks to Joe O'Neil, Lana Millington and Janet Cotton for their work in getting the Godly Play room and lessons refreshed and ready.
On Sunday, August 25 we will have our annual Blessing of the Backpacks at both services for anyone who is going back to school. At the 10:15am service our kids will share a little about their summer camp experience and sing one of the songs they learned.
Also on Sunday, August 25 we will be celebrating the completion of the Woodstock Pantry and ADA Accessible entrance after both services.
And on Wednesday, August 28, we will have another Newcomers Dinner hosted by Lisa and Tim Cleavenger. It's a great way for people who are new or newish to All Saints to meet other people. Details below.
Hope to see you there!!
