An Exciting Week!
Dear Saints,
It’s been an exciting week for the Episcopal Church with the 81st General Convention taking place in Louisville, KY.
We have a new Presiding Bishop elect, The Rt. Rev. Sean Rowe. You can read more about him here.
Navajoland’s request for missionary diocese status received unanimous endorsement. As a missionary diocese, they can elect their own bishops while still receiving the support from the wider church.
All Saints parishioner, Alan Murray, was elected to the Disciplinary Board for Bishops. We can look forward to hearing more about Convention from him and Deacon Maureen Hagen in the coming weeks.
This week the asphalt was poured for the Woodstock Pantry and ADA entrance. The parking lines will be striped on 7/11. In the meantime you can still park there. We will be moving into the Pantry in July and will need people to move things in. Please reply to this email or let me know if you can help. If you haven't seen the progress be sure to check it out. Everything looks so good!
This Sunday after both services we will have a presentation from our Vestry and Visioning Team. We are in a unique moment at All Saints in what God is doing in our church. There is good momentum and energy. New people are coming. And we are known in the neighborhood for our Outreach ministries. The team will be sharing ways that we can intentionally build on this momentum and build up Beloved Community in our church.
In peace,
Andria+
