A Sunday of Gratitude, Food & Fall Things
Dear Saints,
This Sunday we get one last fall hurrah with The Great Leaf Clean Up happening after the 10:15 service. Everyone is invited to join us for soup & bread after the service (vegan and GF available) and then we will go outside and get to work. Wear your boots, overalls or whatever works best for playing in a pile of leaves!
With Thanksgiving being less than a week away, our services will have prayers and music around gratitude and also prayers for Native American Heritage Day (Nov 24). Please be thinking about things that you are thankful for at this unique moment in life that you want to remember on Sunday.
Our Community Share is coming up the Saturday after Thanksgiving and we really need coats and jackets, especially men’s jackets. Those items can be dropped off at church. You might even reach out to Buy Nothing and neighborhood groups to invite their participation. You never know who is cleaning out closets.
Lastly, please help us fill our fall tree! Simply pick up one of the paper leaves on Sunday and write on it ways you are hoping to participate (or have participated) in the Woodstock Pantry Friendraiser and then put it on the tree in the Parish Hall. This is a fun way to see what other people are doing and motivate ourselves. I know I love generating support for good causes, AND I need many reminders, and writing it down helps. If you are looking for an easy opportunity to share the GoFundMe, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving is "Giving Tuesday" when lots of people are in that mode. We’ll send out the link again as it gets closer.
Being part of All Saints is something I am immensely thankful for. Your love is bringing out the beauty in the world.
